How long does the fellowship last? The fellowship begins in September 2025 and will end in August 2027. Each position is full-time and based in New York City.
Is this in person or a remote position? Each of the three roles has separate requirements based on the working environment of the host organizations.
What’s the goal of this fellowship program? We believe that when you invest in someone’s leadership, particularly early on in their career, they tend to stay working in the service of the public good for the duration of their careers. We are looking to invest in people early/mid-career that are dedicating themselves to social justice work, with a democracy lens, with the aim to help incubate a network of leaders in the social justice space.
What is the compensation? The salary range is $70,000 to $80,000 with a full benefits package.
Is the start date flexible? No, all fellows will being as a cohort in September 2025.
Will travel be required? Travel throughout the five boroughs may be required. Travel outside of New York City will be offered as opportunities arise.
Who are the host organizations? The host organizations are New American Leaders (electoral track), Riders Alliance (grassroots track), and New Economy Project (policy/ advocacy track).
